Here are the basic rules you can follow when loading your Bosch dishwasher:
Remember these basic rules first
Prerinse the dishes if they are going to sit in the dishwasher for a long period of time. If you are running a cycle right away, simply scrape off the excess food and place the dish in the dishwasher. Next, secure all plastic dishes because if you don’t water may cause these pieces to flip over and melt on the heating element of your dishwasher. Remember to never stack items, the water spray will not be able to get in between and wash the dishes thoroughly.
Load the bottom rack strategically
Load the plates and bowls so that the dirty side directly faces the water spray. Pots and pans should angle down for the best possible cleaning results. Be aware of utensils that have long thin handles, they could slip through the rack and stop the water from spraying freely. Never place large pans or platters along the side or front of the rack as they can interfere with the detergent. Be sure when putting silverware in the basket that you do not stack the spoons, and always separate the stainless steel and silver.
Cups go in the top rack!
Angle cups as much as the rack will allow to keep water from forming puddles on the base of cups that are upside down. Unload the bottom rack first to avoid drips and arrange your wine glasses very carefully on the dishwasher rack. To help prevent breakage, don’t let your cups and glasses bump against one another, the top or sides of the dishwasher.
Don’t stock up on too much detergent.
Powders, liquids and packets can all clean well but the recommended detergent will smell good and store your detergent in a cool, dry spot for the most efficient dish cleanings.
