What error code and what steps can I take in my specific situation?
Code group #1 – Trouble with water intake/drainage
E3 stops the machine when it fails to get water into the chamber within a certain set program within the allotted time period. The latest Bosch models in such a situation first have the self-draining of the working liquid and then the alphanumeric code of the malfunction appears on the screen.
In products without display, produced 7-10 years ago, the process is reversed. If the Bosch dishwasher display shows the “Faucet” error, the problem is solved first, and then the container is filled with liquid.
To solve the issue, you need to check the presence of water in the central supply system. E21 draws the user’s attention to the fact that the pump of the machine stops working correctly, preventing the unit from draining water in a timely manner. There is a situation when the power to the pump comes in full, the interaction with the control unit and sensors is in normal mode, but the drain is not carried out and the water remains in the tank.
In looking for the problem, it is worth checking the impeller. It may have stopped rotating because some foreign elements wrapped around the base or blades and jammed the proper movement. Or the rotor is stuck to the walls of the hub and needs to be well-cleaned and lubricated. Sometimes this is indicated by a change in the error code value from E21 to E22.
But more often the problem is in the operating wear of the pump mechanism, which interferes with the pumping/extracting of working water. The solution is elementary – you need to remove the old pump and replace it with a new one.
Code Group #2 – Electrical Problems
