Dishwasher doors are easy to open and when they are closed, they are sealed shut so no water can come out. If this happens, you should first find the main gasket located around the perimeter of the dishwasher door. It’s even a good idea to wipe this gasket down every month to remove any debris that may become trapped over time. When you wipe it off with a damp cloth, be sure to observe the condition of the gasket. If you see cracks or breaks, replace the gasket as soon as possible or call a professional to replace it for you.
Problems with Installation
If you are installing your dishwasher, there are a few things you can do to make the installation process a success. First, make sure that the dishwasher is placed in a level location. If it’s not level, the dishwasher levels will be off. Another problem that can occur when the dishwasher is not level is that the vibration from the wash cycles can cause the dishwasher to tip further and this can cause the water to leak.
